Account of the Battle of Bunker Hill drawn up in accordance with a resolve set forth by the Massachusetts Provincial Congress on July 7, 1775 requiring that a committee be established to report to Great Britain "a fair and impartial account of the late Battle at Charlestown." Written in Watertown and signed by J[oseph Palmer] and forwarded to Arthur Lee in London. Manuscript copy.

As of Aug. 1, l774, Gov. Thomas Gage had replaced the Council chosen from among the members of the General Court with one appointed by royal writ of mandamus.
